Singapore Airlines commenced operations in 1972, growing to become one of the world’s largest airlines in terms of passengers and market capitalization. Today, the airline has a fleet of 101 aircraft and services 63 international destinations. Singapore Airlines also has a 49% share holding in Virgin Atlantic and a stake in Tiger Airways.
While reaching 63 destinations across 35 countries, Singapore’s primary focus is on Southeast Asia, South Asia, East Asia and Australian markets. From the US, Singapore Airlines flies direct from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide to its base at Singapore Changi Airport.
When flying with Singapore Airlines, you can choose from Economy, Business or First as well as opt to join the KrisFlyer or PPS Club program, where members can earn points with Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and their shopping partners. Points accumulated with the programs can be redeemed on flights and upgrades, while members may be privy to various discounts and lounge access. The PPS Club is available to passengers who regularly fly with Singapore Airlines in a premium class.

When flying with Singapore Airlines, you can check-in online via the web or your mobile from 48 hours up until 2 hours prior to the flight’s departure. For airport check-in, Singapore Airlines recommends you check-in 2 hours prior to the flight’s departure time.

Premium Economy
Comfort
Singapore Airlines entered the Premium Economy segment in 2015. Available on the airline's longest routes operated with the A380 and 777-300, Premium Economy offers guests greater personal space in a separate cabin. The seats are wider, the leg room is greater and the wide center console ensures plenty of elbow room.
Dining
Passengers will find that meals too have been upgraded. Offering both Asian and western meal options, both the portion size and presentation has been enhanced. Champagne is also on hand along with a wide selection of wine and other beverages.
Entertainment
Said to be the largest screen in its class, Premium guests can navigate through hours of on-demand entertainment on the 13.3" HD screen. Noise cancelling headsets also come standard in the Premium cabin. If choosing to use personal electronic devices, seats also include a power point and USB port.
Baggage
The checked baggage allowance for all destinations except the Americas goes by the weight system. The maximum free allowance is 35kg (77 lbs.), however no one individual bag may weigh more than 32kg (70 lbs.). The allowance for U.S. travel is 2 pieces with a maximum weight of 23kg (50 lbs.) each. Kris Flyer Elite Gold and Star Alliance Gold members receive an additional allowance. The allowance for cabin baggage is one piece, no greater than 7kg (15 lbs.).

Comfort
Singapore features several variations of the Business Class product depending on the aircraft type and length of flight. Every aircraft however provides superior comfort, with lie-flat beds, advanced seat controls and privacy screens.
Dining
With a focus on quality and freshness, the Business Class meal presentation features full-table service dining complete with an impressive in-flight menu. Singapore also provides a 'Book the Cook' option, where guests can pre-order meal specific meal options.
Entertainment
With over 1,000 entertainment options available on the Krisworld video system, passengers can watch movies and TV shows, listen to music and play games. Seats come equipped with a personal HD TV screen, noise cancelling headsets and a USB port and power point for personal electronic devices.

The free checked baggage allowance for travel to destinations other than the Americas is 40kg, however no individual bag may weigh more than 32kg (70 lbs.). For U.S. and Brazil travel, 2 bags are permitted with a maximum weight of 32kg (70 lbs.) for each. Cabin baggage is limited to two small pieces weighing no more than 7kg (15 lbs.) each.
First
Comfort
First Class is available on Boeing 777s operating the longest international flights, while the sumptuous First Class Suites can be found on the Super Jumbo A380s. Both offer wide seats with full flat-bed recline. The suite offers sliding doors for maximum privacy, however other First Class seats provide increased privacy due to their shell like design. Offering one of the largest beds in the sky, the airline provides comforters and fluffy pillows and duvets. Other luxuries include slippers, an amenity kit with luxury products, a vanity mirror and mood lighting.
Dining
Some of the world's top chefs have created dishes for the Singapore First Class menu. The gourmet meals are served on the finest tableware and a selection of wines provide the perfect accompaniment to each dish. For convenience, guests may dine at the time of their choosing
Entertainment
Large TV screens are available at every seat and in every suite. The Krisworld entertainment system provides hundreds of hour's worth of TV shows, current and classic movies as well as music and games. Noise cancelling headsets are always a feature in First Class as are USB ports and power points. Many A380s and 777-300ERs even provide internet access.

For US and Brazil travel, the allowance is 2 bags, each with a maximum weight of 32kg (70 lbs.). The free checked allowance is 50kg (110 lbs.) for all other destinations. Club Lounges & Alliances
Lounges
Singapore Airlines has a range of SilverKris Lounges located throughout Asia, Australia and in San Francisco. Within these lounges, First and Business passengers as well as PPS Club members can enjoy a drink at the back, access the internet via wireless and PCs, have a shower or conduct business at the meeting rooms. The airline’s additional lounge, the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, is located at Singapore Changi Airport and only available to KrisFlyer Elite Gold members.
