With a mainline fleet of over 949 aircraft, American Airlines comprises the world's largest commercial fleet. It operates its main hub from Dallas/Fort Worth, with other hubs in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington, DC to name a few. 

When flying with American, you can choose from Economy, Business, or First/Premium Class. The airline operates the AAdvantage rewards program where members can accumulate miles and redeem for tickets, upgrade service class, obtain discounts on car rentals and hotel stays or use for other retail products.


When traveling with American, you can check in to your flight via web or mobile 24 hours prior to your departure. Airport check-in times close from 1 hour to 30 minutes prior to your departure depending on the destination. For specific check-in details, please refer to the airline.




American Business Class offers a six-way adjustable leather headrest, motorized a lie-flat seats and a premium Cabin Duvet on Boeing 767 and 777 aircraft. All seats include additional legroom and comfortable leather and cloth upholstery.


Meal options are offered between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. and are determined by flight miles, so time ranges are approximate. All beverages are always complimentary.


A wide selection of movies, games, music, TV shows and current news are offered for you to enjoy. 777 aircraft offer an in-seat monitor, while 767-300 aircraft have a portable system so you can view it hands-free or remove it from the most comfortable position in your seat. Bose noise-cancelling headphones are offered as AA exclusives , while personal powerports are also available for mobile devices.

Flagship Suite and Domestic First Class


Depending on your destinationa and aircraft, you will enjoy either Flagship Suite First Class and Domestic First Class. A variety of conveniences are offered in both international and Domestic First Class, including a Premium Cabin Duvet, additional legroom and a six-way adjustable leather headrest. Flagship Suite First Class offers the ultimate comforts when traveling overseas. This includes all the Domestic First Class offerings, in addition to electronic recline and adjustable lumbar, winged-adjustable headrests and a swivel seat - an industry first.

Club Lounges & Alliances


American has more than 50 Admirals Club lounges, four Flagship Lounges, an Arrivals Lounge in Heathrow (LHR) and select partner lounges worldwide. Admirals Club lounges offer passengers complimentary Wi-Fi, shower suites, children’s play areas. Flagship Lounges are exclusive, private lounges for international and transcontinental passengers. Guests get to enjoy amenities such as workstations with new Dell PCs, flat screen TVs, premium drinks, and distinctive meal service throughout the day.
